Economic resilience serves as a tool for countering gender based violence .That is the belief of AMEBE .In the same reasoning, AMEBE team lead by the national coordinator Jean Berchmans Siboniyo paid a site visit in Ngozi .The visit was organized in the framework of the Fighting Gender based violence through economic resilience project funded by the US Embassy in Burundi.
The visit aimed to exchanging with the project beneficiaries ,mainly women who succumbed GBV in the past .In this flow ,the team leader motivated them to work hard ,hand in hand in a cooperative ,to raise their socio economic conditions ,in addition to their individual income generating activities. The women beneficiaries asked support in agricultural inputs such as fertilizers and seeds as well as skills in financial education to manage well their activities .The AMEBE accepted their plea and asked the Ngozi volunteers to make a follow up by identifying the most and specific needs for them to grow and increase revenues.
