As part of the DSACC-BU project,AMEBE carried out a three –day training from January 17 to 19 ,2024 to young beneficiaries of this project in Kanyosha commune,Bujumbura province .The later constituted the second beneficiary group in this locality.This training covered the basics of entrepreneurship.
On the first day of the training,Evariste Ndikumugongo ,program manager at AMEBE ,kicked off the day with opening remarks to the participants.After his speech,the kanyosha youth representative ,Sérapie Bizimana warmly welcomed all the participants and wished them all the best during their stay.
Right after ,the training began.The day started with cooperative operation ,followed by entrepreneurial project elaboration. The second day of the training began with a game as a way of helping one another review what was learned on the previous day .Immediately after the game,the training continued with the cooperatives operation subject,followed by theoretically developing an entrepreneurial project, and ending with a practical showing of participants’ business plan elaboration.
The last day of the training was marked by the joy of the participants who could not stop themselves from saying how interesting and beneficial the training was.
“We had received entrepreneurial notions in class but we had not had time to delve deeper .But,thanks to your teachings,we had an opportunity to deepen and understand more.”,Bella Havyarimana reported .She ended her speech advising her fellow entrepreneurs to encourage one another and put into practice what they learned.
Arnaud Irankeje ,another beneficiary of the training announced :”I had an idea of opening my own garage but didn’t know how to go about it .But now,thanks to this training I have the ability to execute any project starting from that thought over before.”,Irankeje ended by thanking AMEBE and its partners .
“I have not only understood how to develop a business plan but also can teach it to others .”,Nadine Nshimirimana indicated.
This training was the last among the four which were planned on the basics of entrepreneurship.The training was carried out as part of the DSAAC-BU project and,in total,67 young people benefited from it,among which 33 boys and 34 girls.
