KOPEKA Cooperative is dedicated to producing modern stoves in Ruyaga. This initiative aims to empower young people while safeguarding the environment. The project is supported by AMEBE, the organization that provides ongoing guidance and oversight.

These improved stoves reduce the use of excessive firewood, which helps prevent deforestation and soil erosion, thereby protecting hillsides and reducing the risk of floods.

As documented in images captured by AMEBE on February 24, 2026, the process showcases advanced techniques from the initial stages of production to the completion of fully functional stoves.
