On Friday, December 27, 2024, AMEBE launched a five-day training program on the metal sheet cladding process for improved cook-stoves, targeting members of the COOPAMI Cooperative in Kanyosha. This initiative is part of the DSACC project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation, and Technology of Austria (BMK) and coordinated by Caritas Austria.
The first day of the training focused on introducing participants to the various tools and materials required for the metal sheet cladding process. The session provided foundational knowledge to ensure participants understood the importance and proper use of each tool.
During the following two days, participants engaged in hands-on learning. They developed practical skills in measuring metal sheets accurately, cutting them into precise pieces, shaping them effectively, and securely joining them using rivets.
Then came the step of attaching the cladding to the cook-stoves.
This training program aims to equip COOPAMI Cooperative members with essential technical skills, enhancing their capacity to produce efficient and sustainable cook-stoves.
Such initiatives contribute significantly to environmental conservation and community well-being, aligning with the broader goals of the DSACC project.
