Recently, the AMEBE team has conducted a series of monitoring visits in Rubirizi to assess the implementation progress of the COOJMP Cooperative’s project. The initiative, focused on the production and commercialization of concentrated poultry feed, is part of the DSACC-BU project, implemented by AMEBE under the coordination of Caritas Austria and financially supported by the Federal Ministry Agriculture and Forestry, Climate and Environmental Protection, Regions and Water Management Republic of Austria.
During these visits, the AMEBE team had the opportunity to witness firsthand how the cooperative members are managing their operations. Particular attention was paid to stock handling practices, the maintenance of accounting records, and the overall documentation of their business activities. The team was pleased to observe notable progress in the cooperative’s operations and growing engagement from local customers.

One encouraging sign of success is the increasing number of clients visiting the COOJMP Cooperative to purchase poultry feed, indicating rising community awareness and trust in their products. In response to customer demand, the AMEBE team advised the cooperative to consider opening their sales point on a permanent basis. The cooperative welcomed this recommendation and committed to implementing it promptly to better serve their clientele.
AMEBE commends the efforts of the COOJMP Cooperative and looks forward to continued progress as the DSACC-BU project advances.
